The 2019 Audi R8 is a 2-seat sports car that's available as a 2-door coupe and 2-door convertible. Only all-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the BMW i8, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Lexus LC. For 2019, it sees a refreshed exterior design in addition to an upgraded engine and other mechanical components.
There are two engines available: A 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 570 horsepower and an upgraded 5.2-liter V10 that produces 620 horsepower. Both pair to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
There are three trims available: V10, V10 Plus and the convertible Spyder. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, carbon-fiber rear diffuser, front-lip spoiler, racing seats, rear spoiler, 20-inch wheels, sunroof, tilt/telescope steering wheel, heated seats, keyless starting, navigation system, infotainment system, premium audio, satellite radio, two USB ports and Bluetooth. Safety features include carbon-ceramic brakes, integrated roll cage and a rearview camera.
New features for 2019 include a new dry-sump oil system, updated brake system, new carbon fiber aero components and upgraded horsepower.
